The field into which Satan led our first parents is the same to which he is leading men today. He is flooding the world with pleasing fables. By every device at his command he seeks to prevent men from obtaining that knowledge of God which is salvation. 8T 290.4

We are living in an age of great light; but much that is called light is opening the way for the wisdom and arts of Satan. Many things will be presented that appear to be true, and yet they need to be carefully considered with much prayer; for they may be specious devices of the enemy. The path of error often appears to lie close to the path of truth. It is hardly distinguishable from the path that leads to holiness and heaven. But the mind enlightened by the Holy Spirit may discern that it is diverging from the right way. After a while the two are seen to be widely separated. 8T 290.5

We are now living in a time where anything goes. Everyone is willing to try anything to help their pain, stress and ailments. This can be dangerous for us. There are many eastern medicine practices that are being practiced regularly that can actually open channels for Satan to come in.

There is always a counterfeit to God's method by Satan. We are to meditate on God's Word but we are counseled by the world to empty ourselves through meditation. There are studies being done that actually show people in meditation that are able to shut off certain parts of the brain. When certain parts of the brain are shut down then we are not able to reason or even realize who we are. We feel as if we are one with the universe which leads us to believe we are God.

Any method of healing that teaches there is energy within us that we are lacking or have too much of is a sign that it is not a correct healing method from God. If you think of the ying and the yang which is the balance of good and evil within us, doesn't it sound off? I mean how can we say we need to add more evil in order heal us, logically?

We need to put our trust in God. He has natural remedies that use herbs with prayer! He is the healer not the herbs. He created the herbs. When we are sick and cannot figure out the cause or how to treat it, we need to call upon the Lord. We need to always rejoice in the Lord as well. He knows the end from the beginning. There are things we do not understand completely but we can trust God.

Philippians 4:4-8
