Goodmorning everyone!! What a wonderful day the Lord has made! So many of us are struggling with our health and we are taught about healthy eating, drinking and exercise but we rarely think of our mental health!

Mental health is vital to our health. It is said that 90% of disease is in the mind. Have you ever heard of the placebo effect??

1. a beneficial effect produced by a placebo drug or treatment, which cannot be attributed to the properties of the placebo itself, and must therefore be due to the patient's belief in that treatment.

There was a time where they would give people a drug that had no properties to heal them but it would help. This is why we have the saying "is your mind playing tricks on you?". We must understand that we need a healthy outlook on life to live prosperously.

I remember when I was a child and wanted to come home from school, I would begin to think about being sick and act sick. I pulled it off so well that I would begin to vomit but as soon as I got home I would snap out of it.

Our minds are powerful! We need to fill them with scripture claiming God's promises.

If we hide God's Word in our hearts we can have a sound mind and not sin against God. We can also get through all of our trials and tribulations with peace knowing that God can use all things for our good.

I left a scripture song link in the beginning of this post to encourage you to learn Psalm 23. Scripture songs are one of the best ways to learn scripture for my family.

Colossians 3:16 "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

Sing to the Lord and sing the Word to others when they are feeling down or discouraged. Let us lift one another up in the Word!
