Sanctified Saturday- God loves people more than we realize

As I listen to the song above, I contemplate God's love for us. We love God because He first loved us. God is order. Before He even began to create, He had the plan of salvation. He knew what would take place with sin and wanted to have a plan to save His created beings from their iniquity.

Think about that for a minute......God actually created Lucifer and humans knowing that sin would enter the world. He knew that a part of the Godhead would need to come in fallen humanity in order to save us from the bondage of sin. Most importantly, to save us from being permanently separated from Him.

It is written, in a famous text that "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that those who believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16. When you look up the world believeth in the strong's concordance it says to have faith or commit (to trust). That means more than just know that Jesus was the Son of God but to commit yourself to trusting Him and having faith in Him. Faith in the strong's concordance is persuasion of a moral conviction and acceptance of this conviction.

I was just thinking about my diet with my children this week. We were having a conversation and we were talking about how hard it is to give up certain things especially sugar! I asked my children...... how long does it take you to eat a piece of candy? My son responded...... He already knew where I was headed because he started to laugh and hit his forehead. Then he stated..... Mom it isn't even worth it, it only takes a few minutes of pleasure to eat a piece of candy but it could affect me negatively!

Therefore, God has given up so much for us, so that we can have the opportunity to once again be in His presence. Why is it so hard for us to give up things when we are being convicted to do so? Let us remember the sacrifice He made and choose to sacrifice those things that aren't even big in comparison.
