Prayer

Well yesterday I worked on a blog and published it. Then God impressed me to reread the blog and I saw that it was entirely different than what I had wrote. So I am going to try this again this morning!

Prayer is defined on Google as a solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God or an object of worship.

In this current world we have many objects of worship. We have a show called American Idol. We idolize those who bring unsavory entertainment into the world but we also idolize speakers (pastors, evangelist and so forth) as well. I see many taking photos with their favorite speakers. I am not saying this is wrong but we should always remember that it is the Holy Spirit speaking through these speakers and give glory to God!

Prayer is vital in our spiritual growth. In the Bible is states to pray without ceasing. Every moment, every decision we should always contemplate if we are handling life the way God would have us do. We should remember our example, Jesus Christ, who was in constant communion with God the Father.

Without prayer we are as a crippled man or blind man. We have nothing within our self to bring about good or good characters except the presence of the Holy Spirit.

The Bible in Luke 13 states: If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

We need to be asking for the Holy Spirit and God has promised to give unto those who ask. If we do not ask, how can we receive? We need to be in prayer!

Let us start praying together at 5 am in the morning! I am going to give a phone number and a pin to anyone who wants to be involved in the prayer! It doesn't matter if you are in California or New York we are family in Christ! Even if you don't know Jesus yet please join and hear how much He loves you! He is faithful, true and merciful! Love you all! Join starting tomorrow everyday at 5am! Even if you cannot make it everyday join some days! We all need prayer and encouragement in this dark and dreary world!
