Madness Monday - Time? Rest in God!

These last couple of weeks have been nothing but madness for my family and I. We have been getting together with friends and staying up late too many times during the weeks. I am struggling teaching my children, watching my grandbaby, working on the blog, setting up a zoom class, organizing the children's zoom class on Thursday evenings (which if you are interested in your children attending please contact us), setting up an event that is coming soon while setting up the health expo for this Sunday at Walmart in Thomasville!

Wow! So much taking place at once but I feel the Lord calling me to get my children involved in ministry and to get the word out because we have little time.

Time.....did you know that God gave dominion of the earth over to Adam except time. Adam could not control time anymore than we can. The sun goes up and comes down every day whether we have completed all our tasks or not. It says in Genesis 1:16-18; "16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good." So the sun rules the day and the moon rules the night.

I feel like there is never enough time. I wake up in the morning around 4 am most days and begin my day with God. Before I know it, it is time to wake up the kids and start their day with God. Then we move forward with the day, I blink and the day is over. Time to end the day with God and get into bed.

We need to manage our time wisely, making sure we are completing the most important tasks first. God comes first and our family. Then everything else is thrown into the mix. I remember hearing a story that Pastor Goia told when he was young and did some work for the city. He expected to get paid well and they had not paid him correctly. He went to the government to speak with the person in charge of the city construction. Of course this person was very busy and he told Pavel Goia that he needed to be there the next day at 9 am for the meeting to discuss this situation. He was always taught by his parents to start the day out with God and not a quick prayer but really spend time with God. So, the next day he woke up and only had 15 minutes to make it to the meeting by 9 am. He almost ran out of the door without prayer and time spent with God but it didn't feel right. So, he stayed and spent time with God by the time he finished it was almost 11. He just knew that he had lost out on this meeting and that he would not get paid but he felt God saying go to your meeting anyway! He ended up heading to the meeting and to his surprise when he arrived that gentleman he was supposed to be meeting had not made it to work yet. About 10 minutes after he arrived the gentleman came and was very apologetic to Pavel Goia for being late that an emergency had came up. He had no idea that Pavel Goia was actually late himself! Isn't God good?

When I spend time with God first, I normally get everything done I had set out to do but if I wake up late and decide to quickly spend time with God, my day suffers. It doesn't end the way it should have because I believe God helps me through my day when I take time with Him, asking Him to be with me throughout the day.

It is important to get your eight hours of sleep but it is equally important to take a rest in God.

"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
