It has been a while since I have made a post. I have had the privilege of taking care of a baby boy who was in need two months ago and is now strong and healthy at four months.
This experience has taught me so much. God calls us to help those in need but do we consider what the need is? Sometimes taking the child in for a time period is appropriate and sometimes helping the mother to be successful is the correct step to take.
While taking care of this boy I became attached and thought the best thing would be for me to take care of him as much as possible but I believe that was selfish. The best thing for a child is to be with their biological mother whenever possible. I agree there are definitely situations where that is not the case but if at all possible it is best to be with their parents.
I prayed and God revealed to me that I should help the mother. Encouraging her at the same time to put her child first. She is now starting a wonderful job and getting her life together. She needs prayer and needs a relationship with God as well. I am praying that she is able to have that.
I just wanted to post this because Medical Missionary work is more than just helping those who are sick with illness. It is helping those who have lost their way, helping those who need encouragement and love, helping those who do not know how to get back on track. With God ALL things are possible! Be light to those you can but remember to not enable them to remain where they are but to encourage and uplift them off the ground to start a life that will lead to peace. God is peace!!

Great post! Thanks for sharing. Amen 🙏
